Here's my Oldsmobile roof conversion so far.

The body has little primer so you can see the mods.

The way you did your roof is a much better option than how I did mine. I like the way you kept the original A pillars and side window shape. The body I started with had the roof crushed which is why I thought I would practice on it, so I swapped the whole Monte Carlo roof on the Johan body. I think yours is a much better way to handle the conversion! I really would like to see this finished!

Actually, if you look closely, the whole roof, including A pillars is from the Monte Carlo. It's just that I didn't keep sanding the primer off of that area.

I'm not happy with the boxiness of the roof. The Johan roof is so much more graceful. But when the whole roof is gone, you use what you can.

I just saw this topic and thought I’d add my 2 cents. I think Revell got the entire Monte roof wrong. And for that matter so did Salvinos on their race car Monte. I think they copied the Revell roof to some extent. Not only does The back window need to lay forward the frt window need to lay back. And the shape is way wrong. Any way I put the back of a Salvinos Monte roof on one of their Cutlass kits to make a formal roof Century. You can see how much better the Cutlass windshield looks on my build as compared to the Monte Carlo build. I realize this is a Salvinos Monte but the roofs are almost identical.
