Modlbldr Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) Does anyone have any idea what putty this guy is using in this second video? I have seen many people ask in the comments section of his videos but his responses are in Japanese. Doesn't do me any good. Sorry about the first video. I have watched many of his videos and he used putty in each one EXCEPT for this video that I included first without watching it. Now I can't delete it. https://youtu.be/bH3jewKyyk0 Later- Edited April 13, 2019 by Modlbldr
Bill Eh? Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) Tom, I found a reply he made on his Tamiya Fairlady build video: Жека Ромашку 3 months ago Tell me what putty you work? Yukiya's Scale Modelling Workshop 3 months ago I am using the epoxy putty of Tamiya. Edited April 13, 2019 by Bill Eh?
Modlbldr Posted April 14, 2019 Author Posted April 14, 2019 Thank you Bill! Since I found his videos, over the last month I have looked through the comments on several of his builds and couldn't find the answer. I assumed that it was Tamiya but wasn't sure. Thanks again for the excellent investigative work. He must go through a ton of it. Later-
Bill Eh? Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I'm glad that I could help. The transformation that takes place from roughed in putty work to finished model is amazing. He must buy that epoxy putty by full shipping carton lots!
Rider Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 (edited) Looks like Appoxy Sculpt. It is available in more then one colour, super easy to use, stays workeable for hours. Also has a long shelf life, I have been using the same stuff for more then 8yrs. Edited April 14, 2019 by Rider
Modlbldr Posted April 15, 2019 Author Posted April 15, 2019 Rider, Thanks. I just saw that Apoxie Sculpt at the hobby store the other day and thought that it would work for what I want. I'll have to get some of it. Later-
