Pete68 Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 (edited) Well here’s another one I’ve dug out of my “Mack models I have to finish” pile. Last night I done some work on it and some updates. Added some strips of Styrene on the tank for straps Soaked this ugly tank in Ammonia to get the chrome off This started out as a long frame but I decided to make a shorter WB. More updates soon. BK9300 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 That 'Mack models I need to finish" pile seems bottomless! Another good looking truck back in line. 3

Rockford Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Great seeing this back on the bench. Nice job mate, you'll have room to buy more kits soon! 1 1

Pete68 Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Not much updates on this lately. I cut the excess chassis off then put the rear crossmember back in as well as the center bogey crossmember. I’ll have to do some sanding and cleaning up on the frame rails now since I’ve moved the bogey. Going have to lower that left fuel tank now since I’ve done more adjustments to the cab sitting on the frame. More updates later. 2
Jürgen M. Posted January 8 Posted January 8 That is one nice bulldog you have there! Can't wait to see it finished! 2

There was B gas burner at the St Louis Mack Dealer under their car port I think that one was a B40. I would always go look at it when I dropped my CHU613 for a Gen service. Thanks for sharing maybe next time. 1

Yep,,,a B20....I worked on 2 Mack fire trucks,,late 80's with the 707 ,,,did head gaskets ....off the subject a bit I remember working on Clarksville N.J.'s VFD Ward pumper that had a 392 Chrysler Hemi for power,,,did a clutch in that. 1

Please do I always enjoy old stories of Mack trucks and I’m still learning after 50+ years being around them. I was a teenager when you worked on that Fire Truck engine 😂. Seems like I’ve drove more Mack’s than any truck out there. My first was a 1979 Superliner in 1990 with a ENDT-676 with a Mack 6 speed Hi/LO Splitter with Reverse on the Splitter also. It had same engine as the Mack Cruiseliner model. I’m sure you have played Veterinarian on these a time or too 😂. Thanks for sharing your story. When I find a pic of that Superliner I drove I’ll PM you if you want. 2

Lots and lots of R models a few U's and a handfull of B's ,one Superliner dump truck 2
