ewetwo Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) A while back I bought this group of models from a woman who owns a Shelby GT500. One of the Hertz rental Shelbys. She was a really sweet woman. She had a 1965 Mustang that has been up on blocks for 30 years that she was selling. I convinced her to show me the Mustang. Unfortunately she sold it to a friend. But there was her Shelby. And her ex-husbands Cobra Shelby. In the deal she included a Shelby model she did years ago. Brush painted green. Parts in the wrong places. So I told her I was going to take that model and recreate her Shelby. I couldn't find a source of spray can Ford Sunlit Gold. So I got it as close as I could. Here's the progress so far. vamach1 Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Gold is indeed a tough color indeed. If you used Testors you might try Tamiya so it does not have the elmers and macaroni gold look we all remember as kids.
