MPC 73 VS 74 Dodge Challenger differences

Does anybody know the differences in these 2 kits?

I noticed that one of the stock pitch fork hoods has 360 Four Barrel on it.

I also notice one grille has Challenger on it and one does not.

Just checked my '74 annual. 

It also has 360 Four Barrel on the sides of the scoop at the back . It also has DODGE on the front of the hood. Challenger script at the back of both 1/4 panels and DODGE again between the tail lights.

Nothing on the grille. 

It also has 1974 on both bumpers.

Not on mine. 

BTW, I was looking at the brochures for the '73 and '74 and I don't see any difference by just looking at them.

In the brochures, they both have Challenger script on the grilles.

Correct me if my info is incorrect ; the 1972-1974 Challenger and Barracuda MPC annuals still had only a 426 Hemi --- no 340 / 360 .

Hood is the main difference. 

360 is 1974 only.

 

Pretty sure interior seat pattern is different .

Im pretty sure 1974 is the 1st year the Challenger script on the rear quarter versus on the front fender for other years

My '72 has the Challenger script on the quarter panels.  The Landy kit (issued after the '73 annual but before the '74) has the Challenger script on the grille.

Correct: in MPC's universe, Hemi Challengers and Barracudas were made through '74, and big-block Corvettes were made as late as '77.

wasn't 100% sure, ( dont have one on hand ) the only 72 and later challenger kit I have is a builder Landy car .

74 annual is the only one to have the 360 four barrel hood name pletes
