Eshaver
Nice wirk sir..... I would 't have used the 348 though. They were really not as popular as some would have you beleive. Actually, they were designated for trucks. I never cared for them because they were so hard on a set of main bearings. Ed Shaver
brewsterg6
Thanks for your comments guys. Tonight I assembled the continental kit. If I wasn't such a die hard factory stock builder, I'd drop this puppy in the weeds and make a lowrider out of it! Alas... it is soon to rise! brewsterg6
I started on the interior today... I still need to do the dash. The flocking went down like ######, but I never have any luck with it! my helper, Jazz!
Slim Louis
Nice build! Not disputing E's comments on the engine, but I think those old W blocks were cool looking motors!
Semi Trailer Mechanic
What's goin' on... Bruce. Awesome build! One question for ya. Was the Tamiya Racing White difficult to work w/? I've been using Tamiya Pure White on a current project and that's just like spraying water. (FYI Prior to using I hold the can of paint under hot water and shake vigorously) Every other color spray (rattlecan) paint I've used by Tamyia has been an absolute pleasrue to use just the Pure White has been cumbersome task! (for a better choise of words)

(for a better choise of words) Scott... I did a '53 Corvette in pure white right on the plastic. It ran like ###### as well. I ended up taking it off, priming the car and repainting it. It went on fine after the primer. Now I always prime with the Tamiyas. The Racing white went on like butter... three light coats with little sanding between. Slim... you're spot on about the W block... this kit comes with some nice finned chrome valve covers as well that look pretty cool...Might make me hot rod something someday! Peter Lombardo
Just beautiful, love it down in the weeds. As much as I like real cars in black, I shy away from dark colors on models as they tend to hide the detail, but this looks very nice. Black is difficult to get right...you got it right. This will be a stunner when done.
lizardlust
Looks beautiful - although I AM a tad biased towards the color combo. My grandmother had the same car with the exception of a 283/Glide under the hood and no Connie kit!! Oughtta be a stunner!!!
