mredjr Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Does anyone know how the Foose Truck compares in size to the old revel 56 ford truck?
Mark Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Never compared it to the old Revell kit, but it does compare well with the AMT '53, which seems to be the accepted standard for Ford pickups of this type. If you are thinking about combining the two Revell kits to create an improved '56, keep in mind that the Foose pickup cab is not 100% stock.
Exotics_Builder Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I believe the old Revell 56 is 1/24 scale and the Foose is 1/25. The real vehicle had no changes in wheelbase, so, if both kits are accurate ( FOose's was supposedly scanned off the real deal) then fitting it to the 56 is problematic.

If you're referring to the old Revell 56 F100, with the opening doors, it is 1/25th scale. The Monogram 1955 F100 is 1/24th scale.

mredjr Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 I know the Foose truck is not a stock body but I am wanting to use the decals from the Ed Roth 56 Ford truck on the Foose body and was wondering how close the size was. The old revel and the Foose are both 25th scale. I wasn't asking about the monogram 55 Ford truck.

I was merely trying to clarify some inaccurate info to help everyone. In the future I'll avoid communicating with you so as not to upset you. Better yet, I'll simply block you. Problem solved. Steve thank you for pointing this out as we all forget the different scales from time to time.

1930fordpickup Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Elvin Take a good look at this picture. We know that the front wheel wells were moved forward and I think the hood was changed but it looks like the rest of the decal's should be fine.
mredjr Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) Steve Bolander I am very sorry I offended you but I sure wasn't offended I just thought you misunderstood what I was asking. I sorry you felt like you had to block me I tried to send you a private apology. Happy modeling Edited July 26, 2019 by mredjr
