GMP440 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Has there ever been a resin casting of a 68 or 69 Mercury Montego?
Dave Van Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 JNJ did a 69 fastback body in NASCAR form and a conversion kit for the AMT Torino that was a bumper, grille and hood. Either could be a start but never saw a stock fastback or notch Montego.
Bill J Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 (edited) I saw a fairly nice looking fastback 68-69 on ebay once. I was too late to buy one and never say one again. That was a street stock version. There have been some resin NASCAR versions, as Dave mentioned, JNJ did a conversion for the AMY Torino and there have been a few resin bodies done, All fastbacks though. GMP440 Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 Maybe someone knows of a car that has a roof that looks similar to the Montego roof.
sfhess Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Didn't AMT do a notchback 68-69 Fairlane/Torino? I think there was a resin version of this. Also a caster (can't remember the name) made a 69 Cyclone Spoiler II that had a really nice dash and interior. I think it was based on the GMP die cast Spoiler II.
