Greg Myers Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 This is the build that started the question on Monogram engines in their early hot rod kits. Hmmm? HEMI ? Flathead ? Or what else did the have ? Trying to keep it a simple everything fits build.
gman Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Nice- I could see a warmed up flathead, and early hemi, a Cadillac, an early small block Chevy with ram horn exhausts looking at home between the fenders. Add multiple carbs on a log style intake for bonus points if you are shooting for a late 50's to early 60's vibe. Any or all of those should be easy enough to come up with in scale.
Greg Myers Posted September 13, 2019 Author Posted September 13, 2019 And all of those would be available from Monogram 1/24th scale kits. Great. Engine Swaps, AMT / Monogram, kit to kit not AMT to Monogram
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 I'm so confused. Is the Hemi shown above 1/24? From which kit? I musta missed something...
alan barton Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Is that the Hemi from the Boothill Express? Cheers Alan
STYRENE-SURFER Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 What was the question again? Never mind. just another Hemi.
Greg Myers Posted September 14, 2019 Author Posted September 14, 2019 Kurt, did you miss the part about The Other Monogram engines that might fit ?
gman Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 ^^ this powerplant (with the addition of a cooling system) would look right at home between the fenders with that chop- Monogram's Li'l Coffin.
