What ever happened to Don Emmons?

He was my single most inspirational model car builder featured in many magazines and to this day my fondest memories of this hobby were waiting to see what Don was going to be showing us this month. If you are out there Don are you still building? I built this one for you!

Don came to GSL last year... you could have met him there, he came with Roger Harney of Revell fame.

Really do not know if he is still building. Nice quiet guy was really impressed with the Model Car Museum!

Is that the same Don Emmons that did articles for All Chevy Magazine in the earlyy 90's?

If so he is the one that did an article on my 65 chevelle 2 door wagon.

I used to see him at the Pamona swap meet in the early 90's.

Back in the day,  The 60's  Don used to have a feature article named 'Detail for Real' in the long gone Model Car Science magazine.

I was just saddened to find that the OP Dave Mikrut passed away back in 2016.

I would get emails from him time to time after he had a stroke and was trying to get back into building as a form of physical therapy then the emails stopped coming in 2015.

Wee had a lot of great conversations about the 60's rail dragsters.
