10mm Nut Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Somehow I got to be well into middle age. I never looked far enough ahead in life to consider that a possibility. But, here I am. I am a career fireman with a bad back and ever poorer eyesight. I needed something to keep me occupied on my days off from work so I returned to scale models. As a kid I built countless models, back when my building supplies were a Testors paint kit and a tube of glue. Now as an old guy I can step it up a little with a proper work area and better supplies. Instagram really has me fired up seeing the work that folks are doing. There seems to be quite a lot of builders relatively local to me (DFW Texas), so I'm hoping to get into the social aspect of the hobby a bit more too. I've never been a person to post needlessly on forum boards so expect me to never have a stratospheric post count.

misterNNL Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Glad you have kept building. What a wonderful way to get lost in your own styrene world for a while. The hobby has surely changed a lot. This is a great time to be involved. Thanks for checking in.
