majel Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 Here's my rendition of the Revell Tom McEwen '57 Chevy funny car. The body was painted with TruColor Spectrum Blue Pearl paint, chassis with Tamiya semi gloss black that was clear coated. Decals were a combination of kit supplied decals and Slixx gasser sheet for the Spirit of 57 decal. Braided lines are from ProTech and fittings are from ProTech and Detail Master Top studio. Five point harness is from ProTech and the Simpson decals are from Slixx. All of the chrome was stripped and painted with Alclad chrome, and the plug wires are Cat 6 phone wires (24 gauge). The parachutes are kit supplied and the parachute cords are craft store elastic cord painted silver and pinned on the chassis. The kit went together well, unfortunately I made some noticeable mistakes on the decals and construction, but overall I am happy with it. All comments and critiques are welcome, always open to learning.
