Pete68 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) I started this about a year ago. I painted and decaled it last summer. The decals are from a HO micro scale set. I will upgrade this to a 84-85 with a New Ray grill with the turn signals that I cut off. I will also be adding square cab lights and Air Horns. The Stacks, Bumper and Visor will also be from a New Ray Pete. The front tires will be AMT the rears will be from the kit. Edited January 8, 2020 by Pete68 1

Rockford Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Oh when will they release this kit again I'd love to build this truck from a magazine advertisement in Overdrive. You're doing good work here. 1
Pete68 Posted July 24, 2020 Author Posted July 24, 2020 Yes I wish they would too. I remember my dad getting the heavy duty truck magazine in the early 80s and those Peterbilt with the white walls ads will be on the back of the magazine cover 1
Biggu Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 You just can't get away fro me Lee !!!? Lovin this..... I am still hoping for a re-release of the Pete Holmes Wrecker..... Jeff
Pete68 Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 While going through my 1/32 Trucks trying to find some extra Mudflaps I ran across this old build. So I thought I would try to finish it. This evening I painted the frame and added the wheels. I also painted the interior going to let it dry before I can pick out the details. 4

Jürgen M. Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 That's gonna be a nice looking Pete! Especially the modern touch created by the rectangular head lights. Good idea to also make cab lights and horns the same shape! Keep going! 1

I find , for me, that I have better control and the blade doesn’t wander. But I suspect you well know that procedure. I hope your cut goes well bud

Thanks for the tip though I was sure you knew of course, I just found in my particular case , that usually when I use the saw blade I seem to lose control a little bit and make a lousy cut. Quite clearly I need more practise and to pay closer attention. I know your cut will work perfectly , I’m looking forward to seeing it. I hope to learn how to do it properly as my way sucks sometimes .. Edited December 2, 2024 by Biggu
