Imagine a young person in the 50's just out of school. Doesn't have alot of cash but wants to get in on this drag racing racket. What could this ambitious youngster do? Get a model A and an early Hemi from a junkyard and purchase as many of the performance parts as he/she can second hand. Do all the fabrication in the bakyard, learning as they go along. Voila! An early altered ready for the track ( the body will have to wait)!

Thanks guys. If you could find a body like that in a junkyard now it would be worth some money. The rat rod guys would pay good money just the way it is.

i wish i was a kid in the 50's more the late 50's early 60's just go hunting all weekend chase down everthing with these new ohv motors leave the flatheads in the dust.

I was a teenager in the 50's, in Detroit. But I was more interested in being a hooligan back then. ;)
