KBryan67 Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Hi everyone, So I've tried the Detail Master pre wired distributors on one model and thought it looked good and scale looked right. My question is about the other DM stuff 1/24 1/25 they have like carb linkage, hood pins, hot rod mirrors, etc. So like the carb linkage are they on point as far as size for the scale size. I kinda wanna step up my game on building using DM products but dont wanna buy or use if they just dont look right cuz they visually look off size. Thanks
LL3 Model Worx Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 The carb linkages are pretty good imo. DM have been around for years, and usually put out good products imo as well.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) Yup, their carb linkage is nice. Engine bracket accessories, radiator face panel material, blower hardware, and other PE sets are great. They do machined aluminum parts like gas caps too. All of it first rate. They do ignition wire too, scale-correct, unlike the garden-hose sized stuff some folks sell. Edited January 24, 2020 by Ace-Garageguy
KBryan67 Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 Thanks for feedback, im throwing around couple ideasfin my head for another model where i will have to do some scratchbuilding and want to incorporate some DM products.
Mike999 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 A couple of the most fun & useful Detail Master sets are "Interior Junk" #1 and 2. #1 shown below, with wrenches, cassettes, pine-tree deodorizers, keys and keychains, sunglasses, X-ray specs (for the drive-in?) etc. Set #2 has a clipboard, fly swatter, and multi-part police handcuffs, among other goodies. Some of these parts can be adapted for other, non-junk uses.
