Gregg's back Surgery

So Gregg gave us insight to his next back surgeries and I was just wondering if he has undergone them yet? They sounded pretty invasive and delicate, wondering how they went. 

 

It sure will be nice for him to get his life back and hopefully he can get back to "normal".

To my knowledge, the surgeries haven't happened yet. I don't know if they've been scheduled yet. I'll update people here as soon as I hear anything significant.

On my second back surgery, the neurosurgeon wanted to go through the front like Gregg explained in his post. The way my neurosurgeon explained it to me is they were going to cut down the center of my stomach, then pull my intestines out to get to my spine as that was where the worst damage was. After he explained the risks of infections, increased healing time and complications, I wouldn't agree to do it.  I told him to just do the best he could from the back. For me, the risk wasn't worth only a possibility of a better outcome. It worked well enough for me. I still have pain and numbness. But, I don't have to take narcotic pain meds. I'd call it a success. Hopefully, Gregg's operations will be successful also.
