Roadrunner Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 I know that the standard location for the battery was under the body, but how was it accessed? Thanks a bunch, Kevin

I'm trying to figure out how far I want to take the wiring on a '29 pickup that I'm currently working on, and battery cables to the starter will most certainly need to be added, if it's to look even remotely correct.
peter31a Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 As a Model A owner, I can tell you it's under your feet. There is a metal panel that allows you access if you want to top up the fluid level but you have to take the floor board right out to get the battery out of there.
Roadrunner Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 Excellent. Thanks, fellas, I appreciate the input.
62SY4 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 The correct ground cable should be a flat copper strap. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/ProductDetail/A-14301-B_COPPER-GROUND-STRAP?fromCategory=ProductDetail/A-14301_GROUND-STRAP

I'll try to keep that in mind if I ever do a stock '29. (I'm currently working on the Monogram '29 pickup, and trying to determine how far I want to go with the wiring, if at all.)
