Jon Haigwood Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Gathering parts for my Kookie T and it had a Jackson Jerd Distributor. I am not familiar with these and my question is do they use a separate coil for each side ?

Did anyone else have one of those cool glow in the dark sculls from Disney Land he used for the gear shift? Edited March 15, 2020 by STYRENE-SURFER
Jon Haigwood Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 Yes both the pictures and link will help. Originally Norm had a Tiki Women Head shift knob. It was later changed to a skull. There is also a skull mounted on the rear springs. They are not glow in the dark but I found some (2) skulls on this Hot wheel
Jon Haigwood Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 Now i need to find 2 black pre wired distributors with red wires so I can scratch build one
afx Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Looks like there are 5 wires each side, one each for the 4 cylinders on each side of the V8 and 1 coil wire.
MeatMan Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 I had the same idea a few years ago and did quite a bit of research on it. My post requesting info is probably still on the server. AFX is correct, but I could never get confirmation that the caps were for separate sides but I believe it to be true. This is the best pic I found that I could remotely trace the wires.
Jon Haigwood Posted March 16, 2020 Author Posted March 16, 2020 (edited) Looking close at a bunch of pictures It looks like 2 wires go to the side they are mounted on and 2 cross over to the other side. And the same for the other side. I just can't figure out where they mounted the coils. Edit: actually it looks like the coil wires run under and behind the firewall Edited March 16, 2020 by Jon Haigwood

From these two pics you should be able to deduce the plug wiring and firing order.

Probably too easy to remove and swallow for a kid chewing on them. Edited March 31, 2020 by Toner283
