RDean58 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 My latest one. This is how it arrived. After a bath in the purple pond! I like the custom tail lights so I'll be using them,, the contie kit and half roof not so much. (Above picture is from Drastic Plastics web site) THanks for looking, all comments welcomed.h
RDean58 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 Got it in some color now! Using the skirts because they were already glued on. Hood vents Custom Tail lights Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.
Modlbldr Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 That looks beautiful. I like the skirts and especially the tail lights. I can see now what the hood vents are supposed to look like. My 63 that I primed has the spot for the vents in the hood but they have not been opened. Not sure if I'll do that or not. I was going to go with Cragars and a hot rod look on mine, but you've got me rethinking my plan. Later-

If you are going to open up the vents on the hood keep in mind that the holes for them cut out too big. As you can see the vents don't really fit well.
Modlbldr Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Thanks for the heads up. It looks like it could be an opportunity for trouble. I doubt I will mess with them. Beautiful build though. I'll have to find me one of these 61's. Later-
RDean58 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 A work around for the vents would be to first cut them out then position the chrome parts then putty around the opening. I did not want to take that much time to do that.
