Saw this hood (periwinkle colored hood, in the middle) on ebay and thought it looked like a first gen AMT or MPC Camaro, but speak up if you know for sure, please:

I've owned the AMT and MPC 1st Gen Camaros, none were molded in blue and none had a hood like that. Also, notice it doesn't have the cutouts to match the cowl vents on a 1G Camaro.

My WAG would be an MPC '70s Nova or Chevelle of some sort.

That's from the AMT "for 1968" Camaro.  Not 1968, but "for 1968", as in "MPC had the promo contract, and GM wouldn't tell us how the '68 differed from the '67, but we wanted to get something out there".  It's a '67 with no scripts or emblems, custom upholstery pattern on the seats, and slightly altered grille.  Still had '67 rally wheels and vent panes.

That's interesting, because their '67 kit didn't have Rally wheels. (Or did they add those for the mid-year Pace Car version?)

The Rally wheels were indeed added to the Pace Car kit.

More trivia: the "for 1968" Camaro was altered into the "for 1968" Firebird.  Different hood and bumpers (custom only), Pontiac engine (actually a pretty good one for the time), some slight alterations to the body.  Same custom only interior, same separate glue-on vinyl roof.

Yes, I have two glue-bombs of that, one of which I'm going to rebuild into something.

Thanks, Mark. I couldn't quite make out the hood detail in the pic I had saved.
