slusher Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 i was stripping rhe chrome off the rear axle and springs. Is ther a better rear leaf springs and rear axle set up then the 57 cheevy that is used in this kit??
espo Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Which kits are you using for parts ? Are you by chance using the rear axle and suspension from the early AMT '57 Chevrolet ? This is the only kit I know of with a chrome rear end set up. I think any of the Revell '56 or '57 Chevrolet kits would provide a better level of detail.
slusher Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 The kit uses the same chrome rear axle as in the amt 57 Chevy. Both kits are amt. 2 hours ago, espo said: Which kits are you using for parts ? Are you by chance using the rear axle and suspension from the early AMT '57 Chevrolet ? Casey Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 (edited) Any of the modern-era 1/25 Revell/Monogram Tri-Five Chevy kits can supply a better rearend and separate leaf springs. Edited April 29, 2020 by Casey
