drodg Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 So I am almost done with doing my Porsche 993. Needs a final wax, rear wiper, and the tail pipe tips. This has been a bit of a nightmare for me. Paint has given me fits and I used some parts like headlight and wheels from the Burago metal kit. Sits well and overall a decent kit. Not a Tamiya! On to my Monogram Judge after many years. I am going to post more pictures this weekend. Thanks
drodg Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 Thanks a couple more pictures outside. Need to put the back wiper on and then I am done. Thanks again 1
drodg Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 Posting a couple more taken inside that shows the color better.
drodg Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Thanks everyone. I wanted to stop multiple times and give up but finished it and I am glad. Not my best paint job but it is okay, probably should have used my airbrush but bought paint in a can. It is automotive paint specific for my car. The paint also is a shade darker than my 1:1 car. Italeri is not quite Tamiya quality that I can say.
OldNYJim Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Nice build David! Super clean looking! Looks GREAT in those outdoors shots! Cool to see someone else from Valparaiso on the site too - moving there next week!
Dominik Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 it is not the best kit - the result is very fine made. Good choice to use other wheels. Well done David.
