Sales were such Chevrolet was offering vouchers towards discounts on future purchases of other Chevys if one bought a '69 Corvair. And in May Chevrolet assembled their last Corvair. How far ahead of the '70 model run did AMT print this flier? And who gave them or what information came from Chevrolet making them think there was going to be a 1970 Corvair?

The '76 Fury Roadrunner is easier to understand. There was no hint of dropping the mid-size Fury series from Plymouth's lineup. But, once Camaro was added to Chevy lineup, Corvair never stood a chance. True Roadrunner sales were not great in the mid-size Fury line. But, no mid-size high performance car was lighting the world a fire. Despite speculation of the Roadrunners demise. I'm sure the word from Plymouth was that they were not dropping the intermediate Furys, and the Roadrunner was coming back for 1976. Though they may not have mentioned the Roadrunner would be moved to the new Volare line of cars. So I can see MPC making that mistake more easily than AMT and their expectation of a '70 Corvair.
