Great looking Bug, love the paint and the body mods, but I must also ask…where’s the Beef? Is there a gerbil or chipmunk in a cage on a wheel or is there a blown, nitrous injected fire breather going in there?

ITS COMING !!!!!! Since there is no drag vw aircool kit nowere and the only after market offers are

resin webbers and turbos, the rest needs to be scratch built...but since the beginning

I new the engine was going to be the hart of this project, that's why I made the engine cover

removable.

the body is almost done...so now my next thing is the chassie and suspension.

and I started looking for parts and is going to take more time and money

but It will be done....

I was able to create the headers, using plastic rods and the tip of

a straw... they fit good and look to scale. Next I have to create

the intake and webbers from the same material.....

I am a low budget builder, and will try to use spear parts

or scrath build this project.

A WILLIE BAR NEEDS TO GO THERE. PRO STOCK STYLE.

DRAG BUGS HAVE USED THIS SET UT SINCE THE 60'S

AND THEY HAVE ENOFF CLEARENCE TO PUP WILLIES

WITH OUT DRAGGING THEM. BUT THIS CAR WILL HAVE

A LONG WILLIE BARS TO KEEP IT DOWN TO THE GROUND

Lookin good 3men2s. Love your headers and the 'straw' thing. Them straws come in quite handy!

When I checked your thread the other day and seen the reference pix  ---at first I thought you had super detailed your engine & @! but then I woke up and realized they were pix of a 1:1.

How you gonna mount the engine? I'm building SKWIRLY 2, am going to scratchbuild a blown VW similar to yours, but I'm hoping to have 4 seperate pipes hanging out back. Gotta come up with some kinda frame based on wheelbase, front & rear axles, etc, and haven't figgered out how to mount the engine yet. Probly when I get the engine blocked up it'll help me see :) .

Good luck, keep up the good work.
