Acting upon a missive I received from Mt. Airy, I received this 1969 Astro Vette by Greenlight in 1/24 scale.  This represents the Corvettes that the astronaut crew members of Apollo 12 leased through Jim Rathmann (1960 Indy 500).  For a diecast it is somewhat unique in there are no opening doors but they do have full windows and there is no engine.  The hood bump seems a bit shallow but the quality of the model seems pretty high.  The photos of the model on eBay are of a prototype with rally wheels and are not the boxed model.

I have included photos with the Franklin Mint '69 for comparison.

Interesting the differences in the two.   Seems like mostly typical Greenlight detailing with the lack of opening features.   Not like I open them up much after the first few plays.   Will definitely need a blackwash on the wheels - hope it makes as big a difference as on the Mint car.

I'll need that Astro Vette to replace the orange one that went to Stafford...

Here's a link to the car this one is based on.   https://www.motortrend.com/news/1969-chevrolet-astrovette-classic-drive/
