Desoto Firedome Engine --- What kit has it...???

I have a project in mind to make a 1948 Desoto Street Rod (a resin kit) and want to put a Desoto Firedome engine in it.  Can anyone tell me what kit, or kits may have, or did have that engine in it...??   Thanks guys.

Yep!.. and also the Ala Cart..... Both from AMT....

Nope, the Ala Kart has a Dodge Red Ram (different engine, smaller than the Firedome and the Chrysler Fire Power engines).  Chrysler made three series of Hemi engines, few parts interchange between them.

The Monogram Li'l Coffin kit also has a Firedome engine.  That's the only other one I know of.

Thanks very much fellas...  I have the Li'l Coffin kit (minus the wheels & Tires)... I just have to find it in the piles.

Is that kit in 1/24 scale?????.....

The Coffin is 1/24, but as I recall the engine is almost exactly the same size as the 1/25 scale mill in the Ford pickup kit.  I have not made a part-by-part comparison however.

Mark's right (as usual). The engine in the Coffin is the same size as the engine in the '53 Ford pickup kit, and works just fine in a 1/25 build...

OK...  I found the Lil' Coffin kit in the pile.  Now I can start all the prep work, fitting, etc...  Thanks again everyone.
