Hi Yann!

I measured the Cord tires, ans they have a diameter of about 32 or 33 mm. They fill the openings on the F100 fairly well, as you can tell from the picture above. Hope this helps.

Happy holidays to you!

Ola ! Thanks Claude for taking the time to measure the wheels. It must be the same model as the Lincoln Continental. The classic Monogram tires seem to be 1-2 mm taller, as well as internally at the rim (1mm) ...

I will start the work tomorrow, today I had to clean finally a 1:1 scale boat !

Little anecdoct: I still had the time today during a break to win on the net a lot of old assembled kits (I like rescues !), including two Dues (Dual & Roadster) and a Packard Phaeton (as well as a Citroen DS Heller at 1/16!), among other relics ... And I'm awaiting response to offers for new kits : Monogram Packard Boattail, and two Italeri Cadillac (Town and Fleetwood) ! I'm worried that my obession is getting worse !!!

Good holidays too, if luckily this is the case too !

Hi Yann!

Good for you, all those new kits.

Rest assured that the styrene "obsession" is NOT deadly, and the remedy is pleasant: hours at the bench with styrene! I know: I've been sick myself for years...

Thanks Claude, the idea of Cord's wheels interests me.

I like them aesthetically (an idea of the rim / tire diameter?) ; I'm going to deepen this : I have one of these Monogram models on my favorites list on a used shopping site, I'll probably make up my mind.

Mr NNL, for the significant length, I really put on the size of the final wheels to reduce that visual impression, as well as the monochrome body / chassis treatment. I would really like to keep the body intact, without modification. Do you have any other suggestions?

I can also slightly reduce the wheelbase, bring the two axles closer together...

I'm thinking of starting the work on the chassis the day after Christmas, I will let you know how the site is progressing ! Do not hesitate to send me your comments and other ideas.

I might suggest a couple possible things to improve the side profile of this model. First I would  shorten that wheel base by pulling the front axle back thus eliminating the suicide front end look .Next I would raise the rear of the body to create more of a raked forward look. Beyond that if this were 1:1 scale and I was driving it I would certainly Not want to parallel park it:)
