ModelcarJR Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 (edited) I recently started this Revell 68 Charger and intend to build it mostly box stock. I've painted it with Krylon Fusion Metallic Aluminum with Krylon Clear Lacquer. The interior and hood are a generic flat black and Krylon Satin Black. The body has been rubbed out and foil has been added to the trim. Chrome on sliver is hard to see. I will probably just add a harness in the driver's seat and maybe plug wires. Thanks for looking! ? ModelcarJR Posted October 10, 2020 Author Posted October 10, 2020 Thanks, Deuces! I appreciate your comment! My thought on building this one as a NHRA racer is for someone in this era to take a stock Dodge Charger and add safety equipment, tires and wheels, add some sponsor logos and go racing! As I understand it and I am not a big NHRA fan, for some classes the interior was suppose to be stock with seats, door panels, dash, etc. So I added the roll bar, a tach from my last build (66 Chevelle) a lap belt and a shoulder harness that I borrowed from a 30-year old build that was falling apart. everything else remains stock, including foiled door panels and wood dash and steering wheel. I had to add a little length to the roll bar to mount it on the floor and also added a decal that looks like instructions to the fire extinguisher. Thanks for looking.

ModelcarJR Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 (edited) Thanks, Carl! I appreciate your comment! Its finished! This one was a bit of a chore. Nice kit if you have the whole thing. I bought this kit from a fellow modeler along with a lot of other kits. This one happened to be bagged and all the parts have been removed from the trees and put into individual, small parts bags and then put into one big plastic bag. So, this one and eight more were thrown in with the deal to sweeten the pot. He said he thought they were complete. Not!!! So this one is missing some of the racing parts, tires, wheelbacks and hubs, windshield wiper motor, heater hoses, front shocks, tie rod, a piece called the radiator shroud in the instructions that would be more correctly described I think as the hood latch panel and the decals. So I have built this kit before and still had the racing parts, racing decals and wheel backs. I replaced what I could and left the rest out. So, I got a decent build out of it but still have two more of these left missing the same parts. Here are a few pics. Thanks for looking! Edited October 18, 2020 by ModelcarJR 1
