Goodwrench3 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Just starting to build one of these. I've looked at photos of several builds of these kits. It looks like they might need a "stance" modification ? Unlike the '81 Monogram Buick kit, the photos I've seen of the built T-birds look like they might be "ridin' high" in the front ?
randyc Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Most all of the NASCAR kits needed a llittle bit of lowering to make them really look good.

Goodwrench3 Posted October 26, 2020 Author Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) Thanks. I've built a couple that I didn't feel really needed to be messed with. Here is a Buick that I finished recently and a Dick Trickle Pontiac built long ago. I guess one could lower the Pontiac more if that's you're preference -- I felt it looked pretty good built box stock. Edited October 26, 2020 by Goodwrench3 added picture
randyc Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Those look great - it really depends on the type of track and setup at the time. For example, when we used to go to N Wilkesboro, there was always a lot of camber in the front right - hard to replicate but possible. And who would know the difference really? Some tracks had lower setups, some higher. I didn't always lower mine. Just built and let it ride, so to speak.
