Rivera Torres Are you looking for something specific or just out to look and see what's out there? I work at the Hobby Town USA in St. Charles...which is a ways outside of teh city, plus there's several other HobbyTown franchises in the Chicago area too. Then There's Al's Hobbies in Elmhurst, Leisure Hours Hobbies in Joliet, Venture Hobbies in Wheeling, and there's also RC Hobbies in Naperville, but they are almost exclusively RC. All of these other shops mainly deal in RC but also carry plastic model stuff too. Edited November 12, 2008 by Joe Handley
lordairgtar Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 OK, are you going to rent a car while in Chicago? If you are or have access to one, I would suggest coming north a bit to Milwaukee. We have a couple of good ones up here. Greenfield News and Hobby on 68th and Layton avenue. Model Empire on 72nd and Greenfield avenue, both close to the Interstate. Milwaukee is 89 miles north of Chi-town. Kenosha has Don's Hobbies but I don't know the exact street it's on and Kenosha is between Milwaukee and Chicago
simonr Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Well, this is exactly what I forgot to add, I 'm looking for something I can find using maybe a taxi or bus. Thanks to all you guys anyway. Simón P. Rivera Torres OK, are you going to rent a car while in Chicago? If you are or have access to one, I would suggest coming north a bit to Milwaukee. Harry P. Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Here's the American Al's Hobby : http://www.alshobbyshop.com/store/index.asp BTW, Venture Hobbies in Wheeling is probably the biggest (that is, biggest, widest selection pf plastic kits) hobby shop in the Chicago area.
Joe Handley Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Thanks guys, must have been more tired than I thought when I posted that
