Does anyone knows about any info on Model Shops in the Chicago/downtown area? I'll be there for a couple of days and would like to go around for hunting. Just let me know guys.

Are you looking for something specific or just out to look and see what's out there? I work at the Hobby Town USA in St. Charles...which is a ways outside of teh city, plus there's several other HobbyTown franchises in the Chicago area too. Then There's Al's Hobbies in Elmhurst, Leisure Hours Hobbies in Joliet, Venture Hobbies in Wheeling, and there's also RC Hobbies in Naperville, but they are almost exclusively RC. All of these other shops mainly deal in RC but also carry plastic model stuff too.

OK, are you going to rent a car while in Chicago? If you are or have access to one, I would suggest coming north a bit to Milwaukee. We have a couple of good ones up here. Greenfield News and Hobby on 68th and Layton avenue. Model Empire on 72nd and Greenfield avenue, both close to the Interstate. Milwaukee is 89 miles north of Chi-town. Kenosha has Don's Hobbies but I don't know the exact street it's on and Kenosha is between Milwaukee and Chicago
