Terry Sumner
Just a reminder....this Saturday is the 15th Annual 24 Hour Model Build Event. This is where you either get together with a modeling friend or two, have some food and camaraderie and build a model in 24 hours straight from Noon Saturday to Noon Sunday It started out as a model car build but now all models are welcome. So check out the group here. Try it! You'd be surprised at how much something like this will test and improve your skills! https://www.facebook.com/groups/2490663337730074
Modlbldr
Got the bench cleaned this weekend (first time in a LOOONG time) and I'm in with this kit! I'm excited to get moving. Just got to buy my snacks and get my Zoom meeting set up with Sam I Am. Later-
Tom Geiger
Ive been doing the 24 Hour Build since 2013. I will be building the Red Chariot to add to my line of Monogram Model As. I don’t have the classic box, I have later issues of the Phaeton and the unique old parts that make this famous old kit. Join in folks, it’s a lot of fun. This year we will have a Zoom meeting up the entire 24 Hours.

Modlbldr
Going to post this here. I figured it is a good central location for all of us on here who participated. I built the MPC GTO Super Judge drag car. I finished in 23 hrs, with 6 hrs of sleep from 3 AM to 9 AM ( so, technically 17 hrs). I sprayed the first paint coat (31 degrees in my garage) and ended up with a huge paint run above the driver's rear wheel well that ran the length of the rear fender. So, after an hour in the dehydrator I had to wet sand it out and start the paint over. I had a lot of fun building and tying in on Zoom with everyone. Looking forward to next time. Tom Geiger
Looks good Tom! It was fun building with you! And chatting in the Zoom meeting! I built the Red Chariot from a mixture of parts from both original and later versions of this Monogram classic! I have an Under Glass thread here on the board. Until next year! It was an excellent time. I enjoyed meeting you and chatting (until my tablet died and I had to wait for my wife to finish with her laptop). See you next time.
