I have the "Street Rod" version of this kit and just opened it up.  Yep, definately a "crude" kit and not what I was expecting; most all of the interior moulded in and all the chassis parts as well including the exhaust system.

Not sure now if it's gonna be a mild street mod or Drag car.

In spite of the deficiencies, you did a great job on it Lee?

Thanks. The tooling dates back to the era, so it reflects that, but it still builds into a nice shelf model with some tlc. Speedway Decals makes a nice detail set for it.
