Phil at Bench Customs Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Hi all I'm very new to the building scene. As with a lot of people during lockdown I was searching for something to take my mind off things, so I ordered a model kit off amazon (68 dodge charger) went and bought some super glue and thought I was good to go. How wrong I was..... so I started looking on YouTube on how to build scale models and my mind was blown, Detailing, kit bashing, customising, rat rods, garage dioramas... all appealed to me. I've finished one model car (hopefully I can provide the link below) and now have numerous projects going on and I'm absolutely hooked! Hope to find more inspiration and a group of like minded people here on this forum. This should be a link to my YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCayldKuoq4N3oD176FcWSEQ which shows my progress so far. Kind regards Phil

Welcome, a lot to be learned here (I know I have) from a lot of helpful forum members.
Dave72 Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 Welcome to the forum Phil! Most of the people here have been building a long time, myself included. We all started just like yourself. There are a lot of great, helpful, encouraging builders here with all sorts of knowledge!

The shell came from a joblot off Ebay I had to scratch build the front and rear ends. The body has a symbol on the rear roof post which looks like a cobra with some writing underneath it. I would be interested to know what car it originally came from.

I've googled a 69 Mustang and I reckon that's the one, which is strange because I accidentally put a mustang rear bumper from another kit on it. Thanks Mike
