I am modifying the AMT Chevrolet Bison, and I do not need some of the mounting holes that come in the frame rails.  What is the best way to fill those holes?

Thanks.

Stretch some of the kit sprue then cut it in two parts. Insert one of the stretched ends into the hold and pull it through until the "cone" contacts the hold, then use liquid cement to bond it. The liquid glue will soften the sprue a bit so you can push the unstretched part of the sprue into the hole a little for a tighter seal. Then trim the excess and sand smooth.  You often don't even need putty, and the filling is very strong.

Styrene rod the same size as the hole. If you don't have styrene rod, heat and stretch a piece of sprue. Hit it with liquid cement or crazy glue, trim and sand.

Those are good ideas.  I'll give them a try.  My big concern is the large rectangular mounting holes in the frame.  I suppose styrene rectangular stock would work.

If you have the Tamiya liquid cement with the orange cap, I'd use it. It dries very hard and strong, and once dry sands wonderfully. In situations like this I think it's much better than the Tamiya Extra Thin with the green cap.

Either that, or drill them out and insert a piece of round tube of the right size.  Sometimes easier than messing with filling awkward shaped/sized holes ?
