dog1 Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Are the 2 flame like paint jobs on the bonnet a kind of signal red model master, shine red from Mr Color ? Its obviously not a classic red . The purpose was most probably to facilitate sighting .
Bill J Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I think those flame looking marks were for ease of identification. Most of the Fords that year had some unique markings. I also think the col,or of those marks was flourecent red on Ken Mile's car.

vamach1 Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Per one of my GT40 books it was Day-glo paint and not a Ford color.
