my name is nobody Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 recently, a friend of the wife commented on how she had an old corvette model she would send my way. " I think its a 1968" was all she said about it. you know, I figured it was a revellogram issue, and maybe there would be some decent parts in the box. after being out of town, I returned home, and this is the kit that was waiting for me: Yeah, a 1966 Corvette Stingray, An original issue kit from 1966. its really in nice shape, and very, very complete. most of the parts are still on the sprue. the skinny tires and the whitewall stickers, complete with special instructions, made me smile: definitely not what I was expecting. pretty cool though.
george 53 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 WoW, cool freind! At least she gave it to someone who'll appericiate it, 'stead of the Salvation Army!
CAL Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 wow, cool That happened to me too. A friend of my wife said she had a model car but didn't know anything about it and said she would send it to me if I wanted it. She sent me an old Entex 1/16 Buggatti Royal
