What military grey was mentioned to cover red?

Recently someone asked about painting over red. A reply was made about using a particular grey, I believe being a military color. 

Can anyone recall or respond to what that might be? I would like to give that a test.

Well I will keep this as reference, but even more recently, someone mentioned a grey.

I did use tamiya gray primer over black recently and you couldn't tell it was molded in black. Many suggested doing white primer over the gray if you want a light color
