'70 Grande Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Found a bag of 1/25 car parts in the deepest, darkest corner of my parts box. Does anyone recognize the pieces shown in this pic? Any idea what kit they came from? Are they old? Trying to determine if I should attempt a salvage-build out of them... obviously I'd need to find a bunch of parts to sub-in if I go that route. Any thoughts regarding what kit these parts came from would be appreciated.
Mark Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Those parts are from a Lindberg kit. Slightly smaller than 1/25 scale, and had provisions for an electric motor (notice the filled notch in the body side).
alan barton Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 MArk< I can tell you that this is the Lindberg 1925 Ford Tall T. The clues are the blue coloured plastic and the cutout in the rear turtledeck for an electrically driven rear axle. It appears that Lindberg bought an AMT 25 T, shrunk it to about 1/27th scale to avoid copyright and then stuck it on the market. If you park it alongside an AMT version, you will see that it is slightly smaller in all dimensions. having said that, you can use any AMT 1923 or 1925 kit parts to help restore it, or use whatever you like and go full bore hot rod. It did originally have a nicely detailed flathead in it. I will try and get you a photo of my original build. Cheers Alan
'70 Grande Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 Thanks for the info gentlemen... now I'll have to figure out what to do with it! Alan; would appreciate any pics of your built-up that you can add to this post

They had a warehouse full of a certain size box, and the kits were sized to fit in that box. IIRC, they called it 3/8" scale (1/28 scale), aka "box" scale.
