HI GENTS, TELL ME, YOU MOPAR GUYS THAT HAVE LOTS OF RR/ GTX KITS IN YOUR PILE, WHAT IS THE 'PARTS INCLUDED' STORY  ABOUT THE ISSUE FROM 2001 OF THIS KIT SHOWING A NICE RED BUILT ON THE BOX, NO DECALS OR GRAPHICS....BOX SAYS CAN BE BUILT STOCK OR PRO STREET WITH ALL THE GOODIES....I KNOW THE FIRST ISSUE FROM '91 IS A PRO CAR VOID OF STOCK PARTS, BUT THIS ONE STUMPS ME,,,I ASK BECAUSE I SEE ONE FOR SALE ONLINE BUT WANT THE STORY BEFORE LOADING MY GUNS....THANKS IN ADVANCE....ACE....?

AFAIK the '68 RR has never been issued as a pro street.

The '69 GTX first appeared as a stock convertible, with a separate kit as a HT Pro Street. If you wanted a stock HT, you had to buy both and kitbash them.

They eventually issued a stock GTX HT. I'm not sure exactly what the specific kit you're talking about is.

LET ME GET YOU SOME EBAY ITEM NUMBERS ON BOTH, SO YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT....ACE...

I can't actually see the auctions as you've posted it, I had to search for the auction numbers so it might be a different kit I'm looking at.

It would be helpful if you could go back to the auctions and post what's in the address bar at the top of your page so I know I have the right ones

But from what I've seen, none of those RR or GTX kits have been issued with both the pro street and stock parts.

The stock kit does come with a set of very out of fashion wheels and some hop up parts for the engine though ,, but not the wide rear tires or pro street chassis parts.

BUT, referencing the old posts ,, I do seem to remember some of the kits having the wrong parts in them. Wrong chrome tree, wrong year hood, that kind of thing.

OK, yea. It does say that it has both doesn't it.  ,,, but it doesn't have the Pro Street parts.

If you read the side of the box it has on it "Racing Champions" That says it all. They wouldn't know if it's a car or a truck or an airplane in the box. ?

Those post-2000 RC2 reissues are a gamble...box shows one thing, what's inside could be something else altogether.  There was: -the AMT '76 Nova reissue that showed the stock version on the box but had the Pro Stock kit inside (the stock version has never been reissued)

-a Mustang II reissue that showed a stock MPC kit on the box but the AMT kit was inside

-a '72 Chevelle reissue...MPC kit on the box, AMT inside, and with a terrible retooled front bumper/grille to boot

-private label DTR issue '32 Ford coupe with Trophy Series original box art, but many of the parts shown were not in the box

And there are others...

Best to either avoid sealed kits from that period, unless you already have one and know what to expect, or just search out other issues where you know what you are getting.

Worse yet, later RC2 kits sometimes don't have all of the parts for any one kit.  Some of the '71 Charger kits had '66 Riviera bodies in the box along with the bagged parts, chrome, tires, and clear parts for the Charger.  I'd imagine there are RC2 Riviera kits out there with Charger bodies as well.
