Diesel Gypsy Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hi Guys. I owe you all an apology, especially Jairus. It’s very rare for me to loose my temper & even rarer to loose my sense of humour. I’ve never ripped into anyone on a public forum before, `re the “How to Z a frame†topic. It was totally unjustified & an overreaction, for that I’m truly sorry. Excuses are no defence & I’m not making excuses or trying to hide behind sympathy, but I just want to say that I’m a disabled guy who’s having a rough time lately. I guess things have overwhelmed me a bit recently & I became very cranky. I’ve just returned from the pain clinic in Hospital where I’ve been pondering my outburst & feel the need to put the matter straight. I shall be writing to Jairus directly. I hope you’ll accept my apology.
MikeMc Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Always.....don't worry though....A real person fess's up and things will be better .....SOON!!!!! Mike

JR Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 No worries mate. We are ALL humans here...I think. We all have our "days" and if that's a bad one for you then we're all OK. Please stay on this board and participate whenever you want. Your "Zed" question and the responses were of value to me as I was about to pose a similar question. Go 'Pool! (the real Reds). All the best/ JR
evilone Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 don't worry about it bro we all have bad days its human nature i mean i had a melt down not that long ago and appoligized for it and all is good now things will be forgotton and boom all is over with its good that you appologized for it i never seen the post but i accept it
Harry P. Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 It takes a man to publicly admit to making a mistake. Hope you're feeling better. Take care... and keep posting!
Peter Lombardo Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 When I first read your response to Jairus’s posting, I thought you over reacted a bit. I am very impressed with your apology here as I think it shows that you are able to admit to a moment of poor judgment. Nicely done. I think all of us on this forum know that we can disagree without jumping ugly. Our every day jobs and daily life pressures are the real world, we should be able to relax and enjoy this “fantasy†world of our hobby.
Diesel Gypsy Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Thank you for your comments & tolerance guys I’ve exchanged PM’s with Jairus and we’re good. I like to thank him for his understanding. He’s a good guy. I still feel shame faced & my toes still curl at the thought of being a dumb ass, lesson learnt though. Engage brain before opening mouth.
Draggon Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Thank you for your comments & tolerance guys I’ve exchanged PM’s with Jairus and we’re good. I like to thank him for his understanding. He’s a good guy. I still feel shame faced & my toes still curl at the thought of being a dumb ass, lesson learnt though. Engage brain before opening mouth. I wanted to offer a bit of support. I, too, am disabled and deal with chronic pain each day. For me, cranky would be a good thing as I can sometimes be evil I know I can say or do things that are just totally out of character for me, but my challenge is not to simply identify this, its also to admit my faults. ThenI can change. I admire your courage to share very personal things with us on this forum. Hang in there! Hopefullly our pain will ease and we both can get onto better things in life-like building some models!
LDO Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Thank you for your comments & tolerance guys I’ve exchanged PM’s with Jairus and we’re good. I like to thank him for his understanding. He’s a good guy. I still feel shame faced & my toes still curl at the thought of being a dumb ass, lesson learnt though. Engage brain before opening mouth. We've all done it. I'm on a machining forum and the mods deleted 2 of my posts and apologized to the new guy whose feelings I hurt. (To be fair, he did everything wrong that he possibly could have in writing an OP. That's right; I'm a jerk and I have no apologies!). So just relax. Pick up some Fuller's London Porter on your way home tomorrow, and chill out. Hey- why not stop by the PSAB Chat Room on Saturday night? Remember the time difference. No one is there during the daytime. http://client.sigmachat.com/sc.php?id=12510
