bbowser Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Anyone know of one? I did a search on here but didn't find anything. Looking to recreate my old 1:1 with the AMT GMC kit as the base. Thanks in advance. Edited October 20, 2021 by bbowser added picture
Plowboy Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 There may be a resin conversion. You'll also need the hood as they're quite different. The only other option is an original from a '68. Personally, I would find an original and backdate it. Then you have to have a tailgate from the MPC kit.
Can-Con Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Hoppersbazaar on e-bay used to sell a '67/'68 grille with the surround molded to it to fit right in the opening from the later cabs. They also had a replacement grille for the actual '67 and '68 cabs. I don't see any on their site tight now but you could try contacting them through e-bay and see if they have any , just not listed right now. The kit hood has enough "meat" to it to file down the front to the correct angle. I did that to mine but it still looks a bit off. I think I should have taken a small pie-gut out of it so it was slightly lower at the front first and it would have turned out better.
