That photo does show the truck very well.  I like those panoramic windows - like sitting in a glass booth.

I think I have to give you a hind about this truck. This cabover was built behind the iron curtain. Today the  manufacturer of this truck builds to cars and is part of the VW company. The pictures shows a truck that was used in former GDR.

I remember these trucks, with a garbage truck body, picking up our trash (back when I was a kid, living behind the Iron Curtain).

The Škoda 706 RT was build from 1954 - 1979 by the Czech truck manufacturer Liaz. It was developed out of the conventional model  Škoda 706 R. Powered by a 6 cylinder Škoda engine with 11.68l nd 160 hp. The cab was installed fix so the the engine could be reach through several openings.

I know these under powered trucks from the German autobahn when they try to climb a hill in low gear producing a lot of smoke and a big traffic jam.?
