MrMiles Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 (edited) i have an older release of the amt 67 mustang fastback, and the front area, where the grill, bumper, headlights, etc connect to is very poorly lined up to the rest of the body. it needs a ton of sanding to get it to line up, its too wide. i found a video on youtube that someone built the new release and said it lined up great. is the new one have better fitment? this is one of my all time favorite cars and want to build it this is the exact box that i have that has terrible fit Edited October 27, 2021 by MrMiles
deuces wild Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 I want to stuff a big block FE in one of those from the amt Starliner kit.....
Plowboy Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 The "new" one is the same as the one you have. I built one several years ago and started another a couple of years ago. No fitment issue with either one. This is the first time I've seen anyone mention a fitment problem with the frontend. Sometimes, you may need to do some sanding or filing on the areas that the parts meet to get a good fit.
Sledsel Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 I had a similar issue, I just glued one side at a time.
