1/16 Revell VW Type 1 Panel Van/Kastenwagen

While a few areas and details are simplified and/or molded in, overall, this is an extremely well designed kit, though the multi-piece body shell is something I don't look forward to assembling.

I  think  that Chris @hpiguyhas that one in his stash . I know that he recently reviewed & built the 1/24 scale Bus ( looks like a very fun kit ) , but that kit's more detailed , IIRC , and is a one-piece body ( other than roof ) . 

How many sink marques are present on that 1/16 scale Bus ? I would be ( pleasantly )  surprised if there weren't any .

I didn't know about this one. Just exactly what I need as a tow vehicle for a 356 race car.

I've got the 1/16 passenger version.  Never compared parts count between it and the 1/24 equivalent, but they seem to be much the same, differing only in size.  That isn't necessarily a bad thing.  The multiple-piece body should have few, if any, sink marks or parting lines if the old-tool Revell bus kits are any indicator.

There are very few, but also consider many of the larger panels mate to a second piece, so only one side of each piece is visible. That said, I did just now look over the parts again, searching and feeling for sink marks, and why not typical of the rest of the kit's parts, the left rear body piece does have quite a few sink marks, like so:

 

There is another faint sink mark in the floorpan between the wheelhouses, but that will not be visible once assembled. Other than those two, everything else appears sink mark free.

Thank you for your research and answer .  I'd figured that there had to be  some  due to the moulded-on-both-sides nature . 

Those left quarters' sink marques seem simple enough to fill , esp. since they're on a slab-side component .

How deep are those...a little judicious block sanding might square that away...

They are shallow, but can be felt when running a fingertip over the area. A coat or two of filler primer, followed by block sanding (carefully, uncropped image below shows the louvers just rearward of the area in question) as you suggested. They are in a very fortunate location, so not a cause for stressing out.

I do, too, and was wondering how the same panel looked on that version, so I cracked mine open and had a look see. Happy to report it appears to be sink mark free, though the inside of the part is different compared to the Panel Van version:
