Familiarity breeds contempt

Picked up an old friend today. The Revell Kenworth W900 Aerodyne. Once again colors are in my mind. Thinking a Red frame but unsure about cab/hood, air cleaners, so any pics of completed W900’s anyone can share it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Last year I built one, black frame with rustoleum Colonial Red cab and hood, with gray and white stripes rattle-canned on, and the bottom silver stripe was free handed with a sharpie.

Finished this back in November 2010.  Mostly box-stock.  Added a turbo wing from P&P Resins, stacks & emblems are from KFS, and swapped out the Caterpillar 3406 for a Cummins NTC350.

Whatever color you go with, you should put “Familiarity Breeds Contempt” on the back of the sleeper for the name of the truck. I’ve seen some cool truck names out there, and that one would be interesting.
