That 64 Malibu is looking mighty fine Luke. Love that gloss black. I'm going with gloss black on my 53 Chevy build and can only hope it looks half as good as yours. 1

But being winter here its going to take longer for the surfacer to fully cure 🙁 Lucky I have a decent back log of other builds already painted I can bring into rotation at the bench to pass the time while I wait. 6 hours ago, Zippi said: That 64 Malibu is looking mighty fine Luke. Appreciate the kind words Bob, I'm pretty happy how the Malibu has turned out, will look the part on the shelf with all my other black Lowriders. You'll be right mate, your last black paint job turned out great. So you know what to do and how to get results. 53 will be killer black with all the chrome trim.
Cool Hand Posted Friday at 05:57 PM Author Posted Friday at 05:57 PM (edited) Malibu pretty much completed. Need to BMF the hood trim, do a final clean then should be under glass asap. Edited Monday at 08:58 AM by Cool Hand 1
Cool Hand Posted Saturday at 05:09 AM Author Posted Saturday at 05:09 AM Time to bring this build back to the bench. 2
Cool Hand Posted Sunday at 07:41 AM Author Posted Sunday at 07:41 AM Doing work on the HQ. Changed out the rear tyres. And starting the transplant of a @Texas_3D_Customs SBC 350 Gen II engine. 2
Cool Hand Posted Sunday at 04:41 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:41 PM Engine placement roughed in. Still need to sort out the fire wall. Nothing like hacking into already painted parts, few scratches and chips that will need repairing. 1
SpikeSchumacher Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM Looking really good, Luke! Love that red. Going to be a tough looking ride. 😉 1
Cool Hand Posted Monday at 04:26 PM Author Posted Monday at 04:26 PM Thanks Mathias, I cant wait to see all the chrome against the red. Hoping it will be decent looking street machine when complete.
Cool Hand Posted Monday at 04:37 PM Author Posted Monday at 04:37 PM (edited) Fire wall sorted. Just needs to be cleaned up and prepared for surfacer and paint. Now all the modifications are done I can start working towards getting it finished. Modified the transmission tunnel. Edited Monday at 04:37 PM by Cool Hand 3

Thanks Bob, bit of styrene cutting and shut'n got the job done in the end. Going to start piecing it all together over the next few days.
