PintoKING Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 What are the news about Galaxie Ltd? I've read that they were planning to do a '46-'48 Chevrolet convertible. That was well over a year ago.
Vince Nemanic Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Since owner (and Scale Auto Enthusiast founder) Gary Schmidt passed away, I suspect that all plans are in limbo. I assume that his heirs will eventually make some sort of deal for the molds and rights at some time in the future, but that could be very complicated. I have no inside information. These are just guesses.
Mark Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Jimmy Flintstone offers a convertible body for the Chevy kit. His stuff is serviceable and reasonably priced, the convertible body is a notch or two above his usual standard.
RSchnell Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I saw this posted on the Atlantis Facebook page. Not sure if this is accurate- just passing along what I read.
niteowl7710 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) Pegasus/Moebius had some of the Galaxie Chevrolet kits on their table at Vegas. I didn't get a chance to speak directly to anyone regarding them, but the concensus seems to be they at least acquired the distribution rights to the remaining kits from the reissue of the Fleetmaster and release of the Coupe. I full admit I don't have any idea if that means they control the tooling as well or not. Edited January 20, 2022 by niteowl7710 1
