larrygre Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 No release dates given. CARS 07193 1/24 '66 Shelby Mustang GT350R (ex Revell-Monogram) 07198 1/24 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (Reissue) 07191 1/24 Ferrari California - Closed Top (NEW TOOL!) 07276 1/24 Ferrari California - Open Top (NEW TOOL!) 07256 1/24 Trabant 601 Limousine (Reissue) 07399 1/24 VW T1 Samba Bus (New Tool? Hasegawa? Unknown!) 07197 1/25 '67 Corvette 427 Convertible (ex Revell-Monogram) 07192 1/25 '69 Corvette Coupe (Stock version - ex Revell) RC00014 1/32 Rolls Royce Phantom I "Black Diamond" (ex-Matchbox) TRUCKS 07496 1/24 DAF XF 105 Space Cabin (ex Italeri) 07497 1/25 Kenworth W900 Conventional (Reissue) Nice list eh? The Ferrari California is of course the new front engined V8 car and not the California Spyder of yesteryear. It will be nice to have the Trabbi back, and I'm especially looking to the very nice ex-Matchbox 1/32 Rolls Royce Black Diamond to reappear. Those 1/32 Matchbox car kits were VERY well done indeed.
The Junkman Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 On the Ferrari California vein-I talked with Steve DeVaux of VRM decals at the NLL West last year. He was of the opinion that the classic Italeri Ferrari kits (275GTB, California, etc) were going to be re-released. Has ANYONE heard the same thing? I'd love a kit of the classic kits but not at Ebay prices.

Unless that VW bus is a barn door ('68/newer), there's nothing on the list that interests me, especially the Desperate Housewives Edition tarted-up Lexus SC 430 aka the Ferrari California. As for Italeri Ferraris, I've talked w/someone close to the situation, they could happen, as of early November nothing to report and no guarantees. From what I gather the intention is to hopefully renew Ferrari licensing, do new "has to look like a plastic kit" boxart to satisfy licensing, and get a few of the unique-to-Italeri Ferrari subjects out on the market again. Personally I want to see their 250 SWB, 275 GTB, and California Spyder back on the shelves. Harold Bradford has a nice set of 275 GTB alloy wheels and proper tires available for a nice upgrade from OOB.

As for the T1 Samba, best odds are it's Hasegawa's. Edited January 2, 2009 by larrygre

Now that's funny!! As for Italeri Ferraris, I've talked w/someone close to the situation, they could happen, as of early November nothing to report and no guarantees. Didn't they also do a Competizione Coupe version of their 365 Daytona kit?

Yes, I do believe they did that one too! I want a second SWB so one can be built as a roadgoing car, the other more of a weekend racer. I lucked into a very reasonable SWB in November at our NNL, but I'm greedy and want another
