Lotsa Jeeps and other small vehicles converted to one off custom jobs. Many very creative men, with time and extra parts on their hands. They built some amazin' things. I cannot find it, but I've seen photos of a SeaBee built Windmill powered Washing machine on a small Pacific Island.
