tuffone20 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) Well it's been a long time now but I finely got my 57' chevy painted! I still have to wet sand it and stuff but I think it's looking good. I painted it Dupli-Color Royal Blue. So check it out and tell me what you think. Before paint. Peter Lombardo Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 What took you so long? It looks fine, now don't take another 21 years to get it put together.
Harry P. Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 You can't go wrong with DupliColor. Great stuff!
Eshaver Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Nice color ----------- whats different about the top of the car? Ed Shaver
Joe Handley Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Nice color ----------- whats different about the top of the car? Ed Shaver X2, looks like it's replicating the '58 Chevy C-pillars.
tuffone20 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 It took so long because I had stopped building models for a long time. The top is chopped using the parts from an older AMT 57' kit. What to you all think about this grill setup?
Joe Handley Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Neat, two Edsel and a Vette grill combined!
tuffone20 Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) Well I put a few more coats of color on then put some clear coats on and today I started polishing it and I heard a crack sound!! And sure enough I had cracked the roof where I chopped it!! And it was coming out so good too!! I've reglued it and now I'm not sure if I should try and repair it or just touch it up as best as I can? Here is what I'm thinking of doing with the wheels, but I ran into a problem there to as I for some reason only have 3 trim rings Anyone have one they would part with?
